Jeopardy Rules
MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOR!
- Teams are determined by Popsicle sticks drawn from the princess cup.
- You may use your notes. Please get them ready on the tables and remove excessive items from desk.
- You may help each other; but only the person responsible for that question will get the prize.
- To get to answer a question or pick a question, you shout out your first name and wait to be called on - then you become the performer.
- Each student may only be the performer (pick a question for your team) once during the game, unless everybody from your team has already been the performer.
- You can be the alternate unlimited number of times.
- Both the performer and the alternate(s) will get 10 seconds to answer a question, unless otherwise stated.
- If a team gets too noisy they will get a verbal warning. Three verbal warnings will result in a deduction of points of the the current question.
- Winning team will sign personal signatures on JEOPARDY WINNERS! poster.
- PROCEDURE:
- The Current Team will have the performer pick the question.
- The performer will attempt the question first.
- If question is not answered or a wrong answer is given, an alternate from the current team will attempt the question.
- If question is not answered or a wrong answer is given, the question begins to get passed around the class.
- Each alternate team will get ONE chance (one alternate per team) to answer the question.
- If no team can answer the question, the score will be deducted from the team that chose the question.
